Overview
《Parnassus》 is an eight-track full-length album released on 13 March 2025. Composed and produced through ambient, minimal music practices, it was preceded by the single Thalia on 5 February.
The album unfolds as a fiction set on Mount Parnassus: a dialogue between those who ascend the mountain in search of wisdom and the Muses who answer them. Each Muse becomes a distinct voice within this imagined exchange. The songs draw their names from the Muses and translate the associations of each figure into lyrics, atmosphere, and sound.
Mount Parnassus in central Greece rises above Delphi, the site of the ancient sanctuary and oracle of Apollo. In Greek tradition, the mountain was also closely associated with the Muses—the nine divine figures connected with poetry, music, performance, history, and other forms of knowledge and artistic practice. While the word “muse” is now commonly used for a source of creative inspiration, the nine Muses each retain a particular name, domain, and set of attributes. 《Parnassus》 uses these distinctions as a framework for its characters and musical language rather than as a literal retelling of individual myths.
The track list comprises Prologue, Kleio, Euterpe, for Thalia, Thalia, Interlude, Hike, and Erato. Afternoon Gathering showcase took place at Softcolor in Yeonnam, Seoul, on 22 March 2025.
